These all are the last mts talks, we should act eralier to find the quality players and there agents, now it is like rushing for something and not finding the perfect players in respective positions.

What about Kazim ?
He is the key player, no news about his sign......, Where he stands now ?

. Will they be the type to get us back up, I wonder? You know, people on here tell me the owners are worth billions, billions. If this is so, and they own thousands of companies all over this wide world, and Rolls Royces and Bentleys and they have told us they will get it right...... Will some-one please explain to me why we are dabbling in CJ and Tommy? Is this the height of their ambitions? Where is the £5 mill for each window? Ooooh Not impressed!

can't drive a rolls royce over open fields - get the right car for the right job get the players to do the job in hand.

i can't see us getting anywhere near the play-offs this year cos of all the nonsense surrounding our club and the legacy of the first bald one. for me a top 10 finish would be bonus

however, we need to have a proper crack at it next season.....and so far, appleton seems to be doing the right thing with the backroom staff and if the likes of dj campbell comes on board - its ok by me

Agreed. Its all about next season now. The famous Last Chance saloon. But we need to be building now, Making the first moves. Letting the football world know, hey, Blackburn are splashing the cash, looking serious again. Get the football world talking. It'll attract players. Look at the impact Rhodes signing made. Made a statement. Unfortunately, things have deflated again. Now we have a slighlty above average Championship player choosing between us and Hull! Will they ever learn, Hasslem?

Eckersley, I think you're forgetting that every time DJ Campbell gets loaned to a Championship team, he goes on a goal scoring frenzy. He is a bonus to our club.

Hull are well above us in the table and not too long ago were in the Premier League. They weren't a one year team either unlike Burnley and Blackpool, who are two cheapskate teams.

I know what you were trying to say though, shame we can't attract that standard in our current situation. However this is a player perfect for this league so a good move I think.

Vukcevic had his contract terminated by the way.

Amazing! People getting excited about D (is that for donkey?) J Campbell, how we have fallen from grace. Just heard guy on talksport saying Samba signing for QPR is genius & he's 1 of the best defenders of the last 5 years in Prem and we're scroping round trying to get some player who's considering us or Hull!!
The damage done to our club by Venkeys is beyond belief. Don't blame Kean, Shaw, Agnew, Hendry, Black, Berg, Appleton or Singh, these clowns were employed by the biggest ring masters on gods earth , those clueless , conning, asset stripping b@stards from India.
Sorry sorry state and its gut wrenching for proper working class fans like us who grafted all week & looked forward to having a club and team to be proud of on a Saturday.
The whole lot of them want sticking on top of a funeral pyre while they're alive and see how a slow painfull death really feels

i've just got this image of shebby singh ducktaped and gagged to a swivel chair and locked in the utility room at ewood park. Sensible signings, proven championship players, i can finally see light at the end of a very dark tunnel for rovers. we've eventually realised that we are a mid-table championship side, and what we need to do to address that.

The whole lot of them want sticking on top of a funeral pyre while they're alive and see how a slow painfull death really feels
You mean that guy on Talksport,Tony Incenzo, the well known QPR fan
That's the fella couldn't remember his name. You're not inferung that you don't agree with him are you? Do you remember the performances he put in for us, the goals he scored? We turned a virtually unknown Congolese player from an unfashionable German club into a center half who was linked with all the cash happy top clubs every transfer window. Ok that's happened before due to our size etc and we've sold plenty, but and its a big BUT, before this shower owned us we used to replace with well scouted players who we turned once again into excellent players. Now we're scrapping around for cheap dog 5hit wanna be's/ never weres on freebies or little money .
No structure, no organization & no hope till those wasters are out of our club

The reality is that our esteemed owners have , allegedly, a **** sight more money than Uncle Jack had. The difference is Jack put his money into the club, these shysters are taking it out. That is the reality. Think about it.

If you cant see Venkys are asset stripping then there is no hope. Weve sold MASSIVE assets and bar rhodes bought on the cheap. This window will be the same as the rest, loans, freebies and rejects.

Well said I.E.p, Jack was reported to be worth £340 million when he came in at Rovers. Put that in todays money and you can double or treble it so a Billion tops? These clowns are worth several times that allegedly. Ok a lot of it nay be tied up in assets but they're still cash rich. Their attitude stinks and is the worst indication of their countries caste system. The way they strutted about for the cameras after turning up in their Bentleys versus Charlton was disgusting. Did Jack make such grand entrances? And he was there many many times but knew how to respect the people and town who made him rich through common working class lad made good decorum, not rubbing peoples noses in it. They are the scum of the earth , simple as that and I don't wear this "it happens at other clubs" garbage. Two wrongs don't make a right. Wigan Swansea Southampton Norwich are no where near us in size history or prestige but I'll lay Chester odds they'll be premiership clubs next season due to diligent and caring owners. Villa& QPR look like they're going the same direction as we did. Both owned by football clueless rich kids playing football monopoly and doing it badly.
I challenge anyone to dispute my reasoning and give me some proof

I will be surprised if these deals give us a late charge into the play off places, could be having a long stay in the football league, Rhodes will be gone at end of season if we don't go up.

I think Michael Appleton has brought in another striker to cover when Best gets injured again, he is very injury prone and Kaz is only on loan till the end of the season. I think getting DJ Campbell is a good signing its just a shame we couldnt get Bentley back on the wing.
I still think we might just scab it into the play offs, I hope so.....
Only time will tell.

I am struggling to believe that Campbell and Thomas are better players than Rochina nd Vucevij. I wonder if Appleton feels more comfortable with mediocre journeymen than exciting flair players

Your "reasoning" epitomises everything wrong with the English game and the Premiership. Money, money and more money. Every club in the land is crying out for sugar daddies to inject millions. And if they do not, or cannot, or will not, they are failures. Doug Ellis at Villa was slaughtered by supporters like yourselves.
Brad Friedel makes the distinction between managers who are "improvers" and "importers". We very much need "improvers" now, because Venkys are certainly not going to throw money at us.
