BREAKING: Rovers close in on West Brom's Thomas

WEST Bromwich Albion's winger Jerome Thomas is a target for Blackburn Rovers' boss Michael Appleton.

The 29-year-old is expected to complete a move to Ewood Park before the close of the transfer window this evening.

This would be a decent signing as he's experienced in the championship and he is a tricky winger, I hope there is others to follow, Henderson, forester and Kazim should'nt be counted as part of the 3 or 4 players.

Maybe rosado not willing to put in a shift! From what i saw of Rosado in the Huddersfield game, he does look like a very bright prospect, tall with ball control which is more than can be said for the rest of our squad.

Another permutation is Olson is going, his brother drops back to left back so we may need a left winger, just a thought, can't wait for 11pm to go and see IF we get any NEW players, at least Appy is starting to clear the deadwood, I expect a bigger clear out in the summer.

If it happens then all the best to the lad but I can't help but feel a little bemused by our interest in him.

Formica has no pace at all, Goodwillie is awful, Vuckevic failed to do anything worthwhile in a rovers shirt, Ollson hasn't gone looks like he will stay, getting rid of poor players off the wage bill what's wrong with that? all clubs do it its makes business sense

If Olsson is going, it isn't to West Ham seeming as they've been out priced for him and have turned their attentions to Razvan Rat of Shakhtar Donetsk. However we'll only know at 11pm. Apparently Rosado's loan to Benfica has stalled.

We need a fresh slate regardless, new players with a new work ethic. Players such as Vukcevic and Formica simply haven't performed in a way that justifies their wage. If they were so good, then one of the five managers we've had over the last year would have made them a permanent fixture. Hopefully Formica can find a good home at Palermo.

Pedersen is also naturally right-footed. However, if you spend your whole career playing on the left, using your left foot then it becomes your predominant foot. He's a good player but we should be signing a natural right-winger, not a natural right-footer.

Agreed but there us an element of the prodigal son about it. He has come out and apologized for the way he handled himself and his move. And who could argue that leaving rovers has screwed his career? Maybe a loan deal would suit both parties then we'll see if he can be an asset?
