JONNY Milner is set to make a rare appearance at the wheel of the Toyota Corolla WRC in which he took back to back British Rally Championship titles in 2002 and 2003.
The Driffield driver is set to undertake course car duties on next week’s Legend Fires North West Stages as part of a campaign to promote his company, Merlin International, being appointed sole UK dealers for Michelin rally tyres.
Milner said “I’ve no other rally events planned this year so it will be great to bring the car out to show people and it’s also a chance to get Duncan McMath in the car so it should be fun.”
The Blackpool based rally starts on Friday 8th February with nighttime spectator stages at Preston Trax Motorsport Centre and Blackpool Promenade.
Saturday’s schedule uses those venues again but the main action is focused on Fleetwood Waterfront. The GT4OC Rally Show takes place throughout the rally in the Norbreck Castle Hotel’s Norcalympia Exhibition Arena which also hosts Friday’s parc ferme and Saturday’s champagne finish.
