THE snow came down heavily in Accrington on Friday night and if the weekend trip to Plymouth had been a home game then it would definitely been off.

However, the fixture gods were smiling on us and the visit to Home Park provided not only slightly warmer weather but also a valuable point on our road to survival.

A point is a point at this stage of the campaign and, but for some missed chances in front of goal, it was a good all-round performance from the Reds. The day was not all good news though.

The injury to Nicky Hunt saw the defender motionless on the pitch for some time before being stretchered off and taken to the hospital.

Latest reports on his situation are good and we all hope he makes a full recovery.

We are away again this Saturday as we head to Port Vale, who currently sit top of the table.

This is just the kind of game we can win, the opposition will look at our lowly league place and think three easy points and Leam Richardson and his men will want the scalp of the league leaders.
