FULL-TIME: Millwall 0, Burnley 2
5:35pm Saturday 19th January 2013 in Sport
GOALS from Sam Vokes and Danny Ings maintained Burnley's 100 per cent start to 2013 in the Championship, with a 2-0 win at Millwall.
The Clarets were in control for large parts of the first half and took the lead in the 22nd minute with Vokes' third goal of the season, following good work by Junior Stanislas in the build-up.
Millwall, who were seventh before the game, tried to emphasise their play-off credentials with a bright start to the second half, and James Henry was influential in creating a couple of early openings.
But Burnley regained control and doubled their lead through Ings just before the hour.
Kieran Trippier won possession off new Millwall signing Nathan Tyson and at the end of a right-wing raid crossed for Ings to knock in the second.
There were further chances for the Clarets, but after failing to convert them they managed to resist late pressure, with Trippier blocking off the line from Liam Trotter's low drive to make it three clean sheets in a row in the league.
A third straight Championship win moves Burnley up to seventh in the table.

Very pleasing that both strikers got on the score sheet today, emphasising that if/when Charlie does go that we have sufficient back up that is more than capable of holding their own and showing a degree of consistency.
If you look at the joke fest down at the Ewood and Bucket comedy club Rhodes seems to be the only one scoring (all be it consolation goals) so when he demands a transfer request before the end of January because he has realised what a massive mistake he has made they will be properly
jammed up the bovril pipe.

Was similar last week against palace. Showed every attack from the 1st half that they had n 1 of ours!
It gives the wrong impression of the match. However, credit to Jenny jacket for coming out and saying that they deserved nothing from the game. That's good enough for me. Take note Ian holloway!! Utc
