The new manager always says we have a talented squad, there may be some players with skill. but we are weak and we are slow. We have the weakest midfield in the division.
Appelton, if he is any good, should realise quickly that he has to add some power and strength to a weak team. No chance of promotion this season and we will never hang on to Jordan Rhodes for next season, without him we would be bottom of the league.

MICHAEL Appleton has stuck with the same side who drew with Wolves last time out, for his first match as Rovers boss.
Josh King is still out with a hamstring injury, so Appleton keeps faith with the side Gary Bowyer picked.
The match will be watched by club owners Venky's, who were greeted by jeers from outside.

Appleton had the same players at his disposal as Gary Bowyer but look at the result!! This is a results driven game and a quick look at Appleton's record is a pretty good indication of what is on the cards.
I am beginning to have an issue with football in general as it is the only business on the globe where people can make millions from mediocrity and it has to stop as it is obscene in the extreme.
How many people walk away from a job with a poor track record and step into a double your money post??

To all the optimists of the last week. What happened? I am going back to being my usual pessimistic self. At least I won't be disappointed by anything that happens. I was full of great expectations for today. More fool me. Come back Gary, at least you got the best out of the players. Venky's obviously could not put up with the rubbish we have had to for the last two years. Probably gone to watch Blackpool.

The defence is below average and the midfield is no different. They need to invest in these areas because it's where the problems are. No help up front and defending is atrocious.

Fans should get behind their team and realise that you are nott a premier league club, you are punching above your weight to even be in the championship. get realistic and back your owners, without them you wouldnt have a club to support cos nobody else wants to put up with such pathetic support.
Really feel sorry for the Venkys who have nvested heavily in the club and think whatever they do won't be enough for you lot. Appleton should get out while he can before the shambles of a support hound him out and dent his CV.
