FULL-TIME: Burnley 1, Crystal Palace 0

JUNIOR Stanislas' third goal of the season was enough to secure back-to-back league wins for the Clarets.

The winger earned only his second start under Sean Dyche, after announcing his recovery from a hamstring injury with two goals in a midweek friendly with Everton.

Burnley looked like they might not have anything to show for dominating third-placed Crystal Palace.

But Stanislas bent an excellent right foot shot from the edge of the box around Julian Speroni in the 81st minute.

Sam Vokes, who had missed a number of earlier chances, was then stopped from doubling the lead by Speroni, and had a follow-up header deflected wide.

Burnley had limited Palace for long periods but found themselves with defending to do at the death as the visitors desperately pushed for an equaliser.

The Clarets held firm, though, to maintain a 100 per cent start to 2013 in the Championship.

Dont know about performance, but probably our best and most important result of the season. 6 clean sheets compared with Eddie's 2 also says something about our set up too. Edgar seems to fit into that holding role so well, it really gives Sean options. Happy days!?

To say we were without a number of first teamers today makes the result more impressive. The lads dug in deep and we had a bit of luck towards the end. However, we have been due some. Utc

Under Howe we'd have lost that but SD has made us tricky to beat.( one goal conceded in 4 league games). Had to dig in at the end!

Another game without Charlie Austin and another win.

I thought Grant had ANOTHER good game and thought it wasnt gonna be our day when Vokes missed that sitter.

Stan's goal was a belter, a touch of class! It warmed things up. It was freezing on there today!

The Moorhouses are gonna go down very nicely tonight!!

NO NAY NEVER

I have a new small screen and keep scrolling down to find Rovers but they are off the screen - where are they exactly? - surely they haven't gone down yet?

Well ODDBALL see you couldn't wait to come and have a look on our blog.

Glad you like it . Obviously makes better reading than your laughable comments which I must say mirrors the way In which many many people from all walks of the football fan base think of the way your club is run.

Truly laughable...........
..comical even.

To say that the chicken pluckers thought long and hard over a new manager and settled on a well proven
one with a great track record...........Umm I think you should look at his stats as the stats don't lie.

Portsmouth, Blackpool great reading if you look at the stats.

So ODDBALL keep up with your comments as your bound to be back on here with more of the sh*t that spills from your gob.

I think your a closet claret ODDBALL , don't worry your secrets safe with us CLARETS.

UTC great result.
