ACCRINGTON Stanley boss Leam Richardson has opted to bring Paul Rachubka back to the club in place of fellow keeper Cameron Belford – and has also released Toto Nsiala.

Richardson had been in talks with both Rachubka and Belford after the duo impressed during separate loan spells.

Rachubka arrived on a short-term loan after regular keeper Ian Dunbavin sustained a long-term shoulder injury, but was then banned for three matches for a red card against Plymouth.

Belford filled in on loan and had made it clear that he wanted to stay.

But the 24-year-old has now been allowed to rejoin parent club Bury as Stanley look set to finalise a new loan for Rachubka before tomorrow’s trip to Aldershot.

Stanley have also confirmed that Nsiala’s contract has been terminated five months early by mutual consent.

Nsiala played 20 times this season but at times was a source of frustration to both Richardson and predecessor Paul Cook.

Striker Marcus Carver has however signed a new contract running until the summer of 2014.

The Reds also this week tied James Beattie – with the striker agreeing to continue playing for the club despite his family moving back to the south coast, where he once played with Southampton. Beattie also became possibly the first ever Accrington player to appear on A Question of Sport in midweek.
