i agree mate this is the correct decision shebby said on radio lancs last night that there wont be any new players coming in anyway so why rush trying to get in a new manager for the transfer window?

Venky have got this right for once advised by, well, let us say results, and are we not in a results based business ?

The astute, proven manager we all crave for is a dead duck in the water for various reasons that are well and truly highlighted on pages such as these.

I wish for nothing more than BRFC performing to a standard that I have become accustomed to, and that being competitive - whether that is a success or failure is open to the 90 minutes of play ?

Bowyer will have his limits just as any manager who comes in would, but Bowyer has grabbed this situation by the scruff of the neck installed the belief and desire for these players to perform to the best of their training abilities resulting in two wins - 6 for 1 against.

This move in retaining Bowyer is one of the better choices made by our bungling owners as I'm sure this will create stability for the foreseeable future which we all crave for - isn't it ?

Far to many folk's have their own agenda over these matters down at the good ship Ewood rather than seeing what is practical, in my estimation ?

I would never question the loyalty or the intrinsic link of any supporter for our beloved, but I would question the wisdom of some ?

Neither do I profess to have the correct solution in my opinion, but at the heart of the matter is seeing something that is worth embracing for the most important element in all of this, and that is the B&W shirt adorned by a crest that supersedes all. I support that in any situation, and these back to back wins are worthy of positive support regardless of the supposed blithe blowing through the corridors of Ewood Park ?

Bowyer as shat in the face of adversity such is his belief in the squad to go out and perform to the level and standard that they have been lauded for since our relegation.

I go into Saturdays game with renewed optimism regardless of the opposition.The plight of the club is there for all to see, but out on the pitch at this time I would say it is worth seeing and supporting under the guy who as appeared to revive some dignity for our beleaguered club and, again I say, shatting in the face of adversity.

And what happens when Bowyer starts to lose games, what happens when the teams we play are actually competent at playing football? what then, will you still stand by your common sense ideals. Its obvious that when early February comes round we will hire someone and Bowyer through all his rights or wrongs will be one again demoted. If your backing Bowyer then great, nobody wants to say a bad word about him. Dont think for a second that Venkys will treat him with any respect after the end of the transfer window.

Blackburn Rovers Football Club loses games even under the greatest of managers, Bowyer will be no different the salvation from this is that Bowyer is a winner quite clearly proven up to date, and that is good enough added to a very important stability that could very well put our club back on a level footing for the future that WE all crave. It is about time US Rovers supporters begin the process of thought toward that instead of maligning the club with their own vision for the hatred of Venky.

I was out on the terraces supporting the B&W shirt followed by the crest that will be adorned for time infinite, but not if the Venky antagonists have their way.

I know of one person who is making inroads with dialogue towards finding a settlement that besieges our club, and from his previous dealings with the club he came out a winner followed by every single person that walks onto Ewood Park.

This move in retaining Bowyer is one of the better choices made by our bungling owners as I'm sure this will create stability for the foreseeable future which we all crave for - isn't it ?

A win or two from the next 4 games and it will be Bowyer's job. Cannot believe that the club are suggesting that they take 5 weeks to appoint a manager on a 6 month contract! They must think we are stupid.

Just for a moment at the end of the game against Forest I was happy with things. A comfortable win, good goals, 6 points from 2 games, healthier crowd at Ewood and the chance of bringing in a manager to push us on over the rest of the season. Well done Venky's, you've done it again and spoiled things.

Berg was sacked after 57 games after just 1 win against Peterborough who at the time were rock bottom - Bowyer won against Barnsley who were rock bottom and the Forest side that was fielded was not the same squad that had been winning matches, Rochina's goal was an absolute fluke and our other two due to poor defending and a lucky shot from Kaz. Yet as they say a goal is a goal and 3 points is 3 points which is great, however if we came across a team like Palace again and how they performed in our last game, Bowyer or not/Team spirit or not we are simply not good enough. I like Bowyer and if he has changed the team then its about time, all i was saying is that after this torrid few years i do not foresee this being as open and closed as that. I also believe that when he does start to lose games his head will be on the line just like the rest of them reserve manager or not. As for the **** hitting the fan comment, your not alone in where you were - thousands of us were and continue to be there as well. I just dont want to see what happened to Portsmouth happen to my club because of incompetent owners.

A fair decision; I think that Gary Bowyer has started really well and certainly deserves a chance. I hope though that a deal may still be reached with Brad Friedel; I think he would be a huge asset to the club both on and off the field.

What frustrates me is that they don't seem to understand that cutting, cutting and cutting some more doesn't work in football.
Have they not learned anything from last season. Most clubs spend what they can to buy the best possible players they can afford. We have just been selling ours and have ended up second rate at best.
I am looking for just an inkling of ambition from Venkys but there's nothing on the horizon that I can see.

I know what you're saying and I'm not trying to discount everthing thats gone on and it does hurt, a lot, but I am willing to give Bowyer and co a bit of slack, after all they have been sh@t on too so its not their fault. Venkys have been a disaster so far, but maybe, with our backing the team can start performing, I'm not saying its going to be a success because success for venkys for me will be if we finish higher than before they came in. That is success plain and simple. But we have to start cutting the lads some slack and getting behind them or it could go the other way, which is not what any of us wants.

I agree, I have nothing against Bowyer and I was the first to say the other day that the decision by Venkys not to upset the apple cart after the two wins was the most sensible thing I have heard them say. But to hear that we're not going into the market this Jan when the team are exceptionally weak in certain positions is unbelievable. I think we all know the defence and midfield need strengthening but with King signed and Best to come back we will be OK up front.
I'll still be there but I'm so frustrated and am not enjoying things at the moment

no excuses, just a fact, never goin back again to Ewood until the venkys pisoff back to India, I will go to away games. My money, my cash, my support, Over a 1000 matches over the years. This is the longest I have remained from Ewood in 40 years. We have a right to disagree with what is going on. We have been badly run, had bad players, managers & coaches over the years, but nothing on this scale. :-(

Are Venky's suffering because you stay away?

In the great scheme of things Venky's, Shebby and the rest are irrelevant, you, like me are either a Rovers supporter or not, that's all that matters through thick and thin.

And our team needs us down at Ewood.

Must try to add up how many games I have been to since 1972, rough calculation about 1500 and that's just the home games.

And chicken farmers, clowns and doomsayers are not going to stop me going, already got my tickets for Saturday and looking forward to it.

The PL is the Golden Goose, just by getting promoted and relegated clubs pick up in the region of £50 million plus parachute payments, just for one season. That would offset any losses. That is almost certainly why it took so long to get rid of Kean, because he was appointed by them.. They didn't personally appoint Berg so sacking him wasn't a problem. Know and understand your enemy, it's the only way to beat them.
