DANNY Lafferty returns at left back for Burnley for the Boxing Day visit of Derby County.

The Irishman missed Saturday's 1-1 draw at Birmingham with a tight hamstring but has been passed fit today, along with Brian Stock, who returns to the squad after being sidelined at the weekend.

Junior Stanislas is absent from the 18-man line-up with a minor hamstring problem as the Clarets look for their first win in six games.

Nigel Clough's Rams arrive at Turf Moor having won three out of their last six games.

Three points for the Clarets today would account for their first double of the season, having won at Pride Park in September.
