Rosado handed first Blackburn Rovers start
2:28pm Wednesday 26th December 2012 in Sport
By Andy Cryer, Blackburn Rovers reporter
PORTUGUESE midfielder Diogo Rosado will make his first Blackburn Rovers start in this afternoon's Championship match at Middlesbrough.
Rosado is one of three changes made to the side who lost at Blackpool last time out, as Henning Berg looks for just his second win as Rovers boss.
Rosado replaces Simon Vukcevic, while Danny Murphy returns to the side in place of Dickson Etuhu in the centre of midfield.
Grant Hanley resumes his partnership with Scott Dann in the heart of the defence, with Gael Givet back on the substitutes bench.
Goalkeeper Paul Robinson is not included on the bench, with the club saying he is suffering from a back injury.
ROVERS: Kean, Henley, Hanley, Dann, Martin Olsson, Diogo Rosado, Murphy, Lowe, King, Kazim-Richards, Rhodes

Based on his judgement so far would you trust him to spend wisely in the transfer window?
Obviously Dunn is only used on the subs bench - does it come down to appearance money?
My season ticket whilst on the dace of it looked cheap is now looking like a poor investment I am more despondent now than at the start of the season

BBC have Shabby Singh as a co-presenter for the game, talk about lack of tact and judgement. The incluson of this man is an afront to most Rovers fans. I have just turned the radio off in disgust because just the sound of voice gives me the creeps.

Disppointed that Givet is out again, because Dann is a liabilty. Murphy and Etuhu are also hopeless.

Saturday Barnsley - the trap door is looming - promotion is out of the question
Singh needs to do the honest thing and RESIGN now - he has brought nothing to the club other than making it 10 times worse than it was at the end of last season. Berg has to examine his own conscience and do the honest thing too - Relegation is not just a possibility it is looking an increasing possibility - Look at the from table Shebby - you promised DECISIVE ACTION - take it now and tell Venkys sorry you have lost your money so get out quick you are not wantedm at EWOOD

I ask you this, why has nobody else snapped up the incredible Steve kean? Because he is a criminal, a low life and a clueless clucking idiot in every sense of the word & you are deluded if you think anything other.

unclejacklegend wrote:Steve Kean resigned. Incompetent manager that he was, having managed to scrape points at the beginning of the season from unconvincing performances against teams still below us currently, he at least had the perspicacity to realise that the ramshackle collection of players he laughably described as his "best ever squad" would be lucky to cling onto a play-off place by the end of the season. Being the money grubbing chancer Rovers fans came to recognise him as, Kean preferred to take a chance on a last lucrative pay-out on a concocted constructive dismissal argument rather than risk Rovers fans interminable wait for Venkys to finally show some footballing sense coming to an end by sacking the conniving deadweight.

Because of the self-interested actions of Venkys, Kean, SEM, Kentaro and the fairy-tale telling agent my club is in a terminal decline from which it will probably never recover. Whilst our rise in the early nineties was meteoric and crowned by the ulimate domestic achievement, my expectation is that Venkys will drag us far lower than Jack Walker ever had us flying high. The last two seasons have been about descent and a fall from grace: rather than chasing promotion, by the end of January after a purge of saleable assets and no real replacements we will be beginning our "fight" against relegation to League One.

Where do I state that berg is more "accomplished" or "successful" than kean? Ironically, considering berg has actually managed before, I would say he is more accomplished. With regards to success, berg has had far less games than kean had and kean achieved relegation, cup defeats to lower league opposition two seasons running and a couple of early wins against teams who expected us to be guaranteed promotion contenders. Realistically I didn't want either of them to be out manager.
...neither are.

We need a striker, midfielder and a defender now.
Berg please go now leave our sinking ship you have caused more damage than Kean.
Venky spend big or sell up and go back where you came from Poona India.
Indians are very tight with their money and how did you buy a football club in UK that need more money than titanic.

It seems the blind misleading the blind and with the damage already done by Conman Kean PLUS the obvious lack of experience and knowledge in the Boardroom/Owner department, Berg as little chance of success.
Playing squad reflects very poor judgement over he last two years...and with many individuals focused on "ME" and not the club, things are not going to get better.
Miracles come along only very seldomly....
Bottom line is, would you expect success if an Amercian bought Lancashire CC.....same with Indian business people playing around with a professional Football team....McCarthy and others saw the joke it now is.
It is going to be a "winter of discontent" I feel...with no sign of a turnaround until the Ownership saga ends !!!!
