Murphy set for Blackburn Rovers return

DANNY Murphy has returned to training ahead of Blackburn Rovers’ home match against Brighton on Saturday.

Murphy has missed Rovers’ last two matches because of injury but could be back in contention to face Brighton.

David Dunn is pushing for a place after getting a full week of training under his belt, having been an unused substitute at Blackpool on his comeback from injury.

Nuno Gomes, Fabio Nunes and Leon Best remain injured.

he's had some good games and some bad, he needs to be more consistent and more one touch passing like against peterborough from him.

At least Murphy is fit. We are saved! Who needs Jones, Diouf, Nonzi, Hoillett, Andrews, Grella when we have Etuhu & Murphy!!!

You clowns might be quite happy to have a washed up "big name" in your ranks to boost your strange football ideals, but Rovers fans are a bit cleverer and can see right through it. Go and enjoy your latest "big" star , a one trick pony who's been sussed out , can't score for toffee now and will make a low budget move to a bigger club then disappear on the bench. Then your post is irrelevant!!!! I'll see the ones who"can" be bothered at Ewood on Saturday!!!
That's right Mr Rao, I'm another irrelevent supporter. Didn't realise you were coming to Ewood on Saturday. Rest assured I've made it to a lot more games than you have this season.
Very good - Rest assured PAL you haven't!!!
I hope you have a nice time, enjoy some really scintillating football and a resounding victory. Good luck and Merry Xmas. I'll definitely be enjoying what I've got planned for the next couple of weeks.
Not meaning to be rude, but opinions like yours, from somebody who obviously doesnt go to watch the games, is just plain boring. Im surprised you can spare the time to write on here if you arent interested in seeing the team play.
I am interested in seeing the team play. I was interested in seeing the team play every time we've got tubbed at home this season. I'd love to see them play which is why I'm not bothered about not getting to Saturday's game because on the balance of probabilities it ain't going to happen.

I'm still going when I can conveniently get there - only a fan would turn up to watch the sh8 on offer.

We are no better without him so he may as well play and at least try and earn his wages. I don't think that Berg will dare drop Petrovic for Murphy after his good performances so maybe Etuhu will be out. Rovers simply have to win this one and I think they will. 2-1 Rhodes and Vukevic after Brighton score first.
Petrovic was way too young and athletic, he was shipped out 6 months ago thus guaranteeing Murphy and Etuhu having an easy life as passengers in the middle. I know you meant Vueckevic really :0)
Petrovic and athletic........

Naah, those words just don't go together lol!

Petrovic and Etuhu....... now they go together in the 'rubbish' bin.

Yes, it looks like Venky brothers need to come and play as our highly paid players cannot be motivated to work hard and win games.

If Venkys don't back Berg with substantial funds in this transfer window, it is 100% clear to me that they NEVER will do.
How many chances have they had in the previous transfer windows to do their best for the club but have NEVER delivered. ( the Samba sale paid for Rhodes )
Personally, I think they don't care how far we fall as they have no interest in football. So why are they here ?

They are here to take cash out of the club and country then they will bang it and bragg to their Indian friends how many millions they cashed in, we will be history soon as a club.

SS is the big problem at Ewood, not Berg. If Venky's really wanted Holloway surely they would have got him, unless SS has more sway than people thought. Get some banners around Pune,"Venky's out of Blackburn Rovers" give us fans some help.

Murphy "box-to-box" ? six yard box to penalty box on a good day with a strong following wind.
Why are Venkys still here ?
Money laundering is the only reason left - they don't have the cash to make us a success, the millions of Indians are still watching cricket, we've not the pulling power to be a decent footie hatchery, we've just been downgraded as an academy, we have a squad of forty, at least 30 of whom are not fit for the Championship and can't be sold on at profit - it's a complete disaster whichever way you look at it - so it's got to be money laundering.

thats a very interesting theory, but it still doesnt solve our problem,,l hope it doesnt come to it but l think we may have seen the last days of the premiership for good and we could quite easily do a leeds and end up in league 1,, on your assessment of the playing staff, l would say your spot on, some of them are not even championship pedigree,,the whole set up is a complete shambles,,
