BACUP Borough captain Daniel Cocks has committed himself to the club until 2014 as boss Brent Peters attempts to tie down further members of his squad to new deals.

Bacup visit Glossop North End in the North West Counties Premier Division this weekend and Peters has started to plan ahead by entering into discussions with a number of his squad, with another senior player close to finalising a deal.

Borough lost six players in the summer, despite winning the North West Counties League Challenge Cup last season, and Peters believes that has had a big impact on Bacup’s results this term.

They currently sit 17th in the Premier Division table.

Barnoldswick Town are eighth and are at home to fifth-placed Runcorn Town.

In the Evo-Stik Premier Division, ninth-placed Chorley entertain struggling Stocksbridge Park Steels after beating them 5-4 in the reverse fixture on the opening weekend of the season.

Clitheroe currrently sit fourth in First Division North and are at home to Garforth Town, while ninth-placed Ramsbottom United travel to Cammell Laird.
