RAMSBOTTOM returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion with a 6-1 win at Ossett Albion.
The Rams had lost their previous four league and cup matches and hadn’t won since an equally as impressive 5-0 win against Lancaster City in early November.
The Rams must have feared the worst when Liam Wilkin gave Ossett the lead in the 12th minute but they regrouped and were on level terms within 10 minutes when Lee Gaskell scored the first of his two goals. Philip Dean, also bagged a brace, fired the Rams ahead in the 29th minute and they took a 3-1 lead in to the break courtesy of Jon Robinson’s 35th minute effort.
Gaskell made sure the poor run was halted with his second on the hour and Grant Spencer made it 5-1 on 76 before Dean wrapped it up in the last minute to move the Rams up to seventh place in Evo-Stik League Division One North.
