Connor Byrne finished in an impressive 12th place at the European Youth Cup in Slovenia.
The Clitheroe Royal Grammar School pupil was once again the top British performer – as he was at the European Youth Championships in France last month.
The 16-year-old was competing against 39 of the top young climbers on the continent.
It was another superb display in the lead climbing category in an age group, Connor has another year to compete in.
He is the current British lead climbing champion having won the title for the past two years and has also won the Scottish and Welsh opens.
