St Augustine's are athletics champions

ST Augustine’s High School were crowned overall Hyndburn and Ribble Sports Hall Athletics champions.
The event, held at Oakhill Academy was organised by the Hyndburn and Ribble Valley School Sports Partnership.
Year Eight pupils took part in a series of events included standing long jump, shot put and relay races. The event was a huge success with the highest placed Ribble Valley school and highest placed Hyndburn school progressing through to the Lancashire finalat Hyndburn Sports centre.
While the Saints were the top Valley team, Mount Carmel were the highest ranked Hyndburn school despite finishing outside of the top three.
Clitheroe Royal Grammar School finished in second place overall with Ribblesdale third.
Young leaders from St Augustine’s helped organise the event to make it such a success.
