Given the amount of numpty self centred idiots out there in football management, (and remember we have just got rid of a world beating example) I am quite pleased that someone as relatively genuine as Berg has got the job. I feel any problems lie with the moronic approach taken by shabby and his employers, stating that instant promotion is the minimum expected goal for Berg to achieve this season. Dear God I don't think 'ol deluded shabby could achieve an instant coffee let alone instant promotion. If you look at the abysmal record laid down by the present incumbents, for example, allowing an incompetent manager to gain relegation and achieve the worst run of results since rovers began before realising that perhaps he was not up to it. No real urgency put into attracting a recognised, effective replacement manager, just a lot of mindless rhetoric telling the fans that only a world class messiah would do, whilst making it clear to the press that any new manager would have at least three games to turn the club around... Who the hell would want a job like that. In real terms the idiot owners should get on their knees to good old Henning and stop making stupid aims that quite frankly rebounds on them. Perhaps they need to get to grips with reality. I feel that if we get a top five finish this year then although disappointing it is a realistic expectation... not because Berg has not done his job, but that the Venkys and their amateur advisers bogged it up in the first place. Indeed, we all know that he and I favoured Hollway. But good luck to Berg, he may need it. We have to now rally round and support the new manager. However, if Hollway goes to Palace (or stays at Blackpool under the austerity of Karl Oyston) and wins promotion, and we don't, then we will know it was the wrong decision. Only time will tell.

I do not like the first impression made from this guy "Shaw" .....his comments are not showing a 100% instant support for our new Manager.....and seems more concerned with being PC with self-interest at heart, rather then the club.

Remember that Henning Berg is stepping into the mire Kean had left behind, especially in relation to players and supprt staff.
He & Black I feel would be a sensible move, until the end of the season...yet Hendry is not good for the club and obviously would never have got the position if not for his drinking mate.

Of all the managers they could have chosen they choose someone who was sacked from his last job for accruing 1 point in 8 games, who has been little more than a pundit on Norwegian TV for the last year and who has never managed in England before. They didn't get permission to speak to them so they moved down the list till they found someone desperate enough to agree...up popped Henning Berg...Hendry's, Shebby's & Kentaro's saviour!! They then pushed out the old Maradona chestnut link to create a "problem, reaction, solution" scenario and hey presto!! All their financial problems were solved!!

It can be no coincidence that other managers that were wanted (by the fans) have now been approached by other clubs with less of a "self serving greed" agenda going on. Their agents were waiting for the expected call from Ewood that never came - and never was going to come....

Yeah....you can then all have a chinwag and decide that Henning should resign with a multi-million pound payoff before getting another of Hendry's chums comes in. The pattern will play out until either Rovers somehow do manage to get promotion or when the parachute payments run out in 3 years time. Then you'll all ride into the sunset laden with last of Jack's legacy and the club (whatever is left of it) will be left to rot.

Berg is a footballing man. On the other hand I really wouldn't put the names of Shaw Agnew and Singh in the same sentence as the term footballing decision. The sad thing is...the LET are either in this with you or are incredibly naive as to what has been going on all this time. A full investigation into the source of all these comments (particularly the comment bombing the other day) must now be in order (going back to before Sam was sacked). A Football League inquiry should also be requested if the BRFCS Trust could do the honours?? Let's see who really does own the club and what their game is...before it is too late!!

Sadly..if that was the truth then it wouldn't be that bad. This is all about control...it always has been. Berg is here simply to fulfill a role...just like Kean before him.

It also must make supporters laugh reading comments by Shebby (inferring Berg wasn't employed just because he's popular with supporters - not a "cheap attempt’ to win the supporters around.")....4 votes out of nearly 800 polled...yeah real popular, sure to win supporters round that one!!!

I personally think the majority of potential managers simply wouldn't work under their awful ownership and had John Williams et al been pulling the strings, we would've clearly had all this sorted quickly, discreetly and with absolute professionalism (although big Sam would never have been sacked in the first place!)
The problem is, what the can anyone do? If all these conspiracies are true and that it's just jobs for the boys, what the f00k can we do?

I think that;s all any of us can hope for. Surely everyone knows by now that something very wrong has been going on since the Club was taken over, and i for one would dearly love to know for sure just who does pull the strings at Ewood ,and also whether the rumoured investigation by a Goverment Department is currently active or not. I've posted on here for a few year now,not regulary though as i travel Europe quite a bit for a living so sometimes go weeks witout checking the comments on here, but i must admit i too was surpised at the large number of unfamiliar posters comments appearing immediately that Henning was announced as the new manager,especially as i'd took special interest in the Telegraph voting results for who was the fans favourite to succeed the odius oaf as manager and noticing that Henning got 4 (was it?) and all praising the appointment, It also rang alarm bells for me when i read one post threatening legal action because he was accused of creating false accounts,but suggested it was also racist. I seem to remember the comments section closed down at one point by a certain person citing similar reasons ,who them went on T.V. trying to turn it into a race issue in the same way. Whilst i think smellthecoffe goes about putting his beliefs forward in the totally wrong way at times and is bloody annoying leaving his caps lock on , i firmly believe that he, as well as everyone else is entitled to his opinion and his beliefs. Anyhow , Henning Berg is now the manager and he and the players get my total support ,i think it,s a forlon hope that he will be allowed to run the team without the interference of others intent on feathering their own nests,but i hope to God he has the balls to be his own man and stand up to these clowns. I am really looking forward to seeing Henning Berg's first match in charge today at Palace. No predictions though I reckon a point would be a great return against a team that is on a 10 match unbeaten run. Need to feed the Rhodes!

I know you've been posting comments on here for a long time. It must be about 2 years since your campaign started wasn't it?? How much money in agent's fees have you made in that time from the club??

The sad thing is...the LET are either in this with you or are incredibly naive as to what has been going on all this time. A full investigation into the source of all these comments (particularly the comment bombing the other day) must now be in order (going back to before Sam was sacked). A Football League inquiry should also be requested if the BRFCS Trust could do the honours?? Let's see who really does own the club and what their game is...before it is too late!!
