Rishton PROSPECTS Panel were joined once again by members of Norden High School’s Green Team as they took part in some tree planting and environmental art.

15 oak trees were planted in the park as part of the PROSPECTS Foundation Ring of Oaks tree planting project which has seen 200 oak trees planted around Hyndburn.

Jeff Allen, willow weaver from Ecoarts visited the park and with the help of local volunteers created a living arbour incorporating a solid timber seat. The arbour, a half dome structure will change with the seasons and with spring upon us it’s about to go green with new growth.

Cat Martin, teacher at Norden High School said “It’s great that the Green Team are able to get involved with projects in the local community and we hope our involvement with Rishton PROSPECTS Panel projects will continue in the future.”
