Gala glory for super Shrimps

More than 100 youngsters from across Pennine Lancashire gathered for the Pioneer 79 annual Shrimps Gala.
The event is for children aged seven to nine, and swimmers from Great Harwood Otters, Haslingden and Accrington swimming clubs joined Pioneer 79 at Hyndburn Sports Centre for the gala.
Lee Stringfellow, Pioneer 79's head coach, said: "It was a fantastic event and while it is important to recognise our winners, the Shrimps Gala is about having fun and making new friends from other clubs.
"That said, there were some excellent performances and the swimmers, parents and coaches from all the clubs can be proud of their achievements."
