My interest in photography really began when I got my first computer in 2002. Up until that time I had only taken photos at holiday times, and mostly of members of my family. Once I had got the computer, a digital camera was soon to follow so that I could send pictures to my overseas email friends. My first camera was a Fuji Finepix 101, which I still have and use from time to time. I now use my 70th birthday present, a Fuji V10 which I have used for the last two years. As well as the granchildren, I like to take pictures of wildlife along the canal and the scenery on my walks in and around the Feniscowles area, and the town centre. Apart from reading, I have not had any tuition whatsoever, just picking things up as I went along. I think I have only had one photo published in the Telegraph, and that is still what I consider to be one of my best.
