I started getting interested in photography in the mid 1980s and sold my Fender Telecaster guitar to fund a Minolta 7000i camera. I did a year at night classes to learn the fundamentals of photography and won the photographer of the year prize. A growing family, business, and fell running for Clayton-le-Moors Harriers took precedence until about 3 years ago when I bought a digital camera and fell back in love with photography. I sent my first photo to the Telegraph in 2007 of a sunset on the canal and its publication really rekindled my photography. Since then I have had numerous photographs published in the Telegraph and I have also had work published in Northern Life Magazine, The Scots Magazine, Canal and Riverboat, and Amateur Photographer Magazine.
