KNOCK, knock. Who’s there? Jesus! Jesus who?

Good question and, with Advent now here, it is evidently the time to know more about Jesus; to get those answers that He is open to answer if we dare to ask earnestly.

To know more about this man who was born on Christmas Day.

Born bringing a gift for all to accept and hold onto in all situations to eventually experience everlasting life.

A bit heavy for a weekend you think?

Well don’t worry … it is good news!

Christmas is for everyone – Jesus was and is for everyone, the young and the old.

No matter what your gender, ethnic persuasion, belief or sexuality – Jesus was and is for you.

The gift of life this baby was to bring us was not easily taken on board even then, so it is understandable that many find it hard in this day and age to accept the message He brought and continues to bring.

He was to grow to be more than an earthly king and more than a peacemaker.

He was God amongst us, wanting the best for us on all counts and above all wanting us to accept His gift of love and all it brings.

As chairman of the Blackburn Diocese Mosamaria Trust Fund (created purposely to raise awareness and funds for the Mosamaria AIDS Ministry in the Free State, South Africa www.mosamaria.co.za) I long for the best for all the children and people that use the services and those that deliver the services to them.

I feel that the Mosamaria AIDS Ministry embraced the fact that Jesus was Lord and Saviour 13 years ago when it started to help children and families.

Those involved said yes to the fact they needed to know Jesus more and all that He brought with Him on Christmas Day when He was born in a manger.

The invitation is there from Him to know more – please dare to respond.
