TWO burglars have been jailed as police continue to tackle the crime in North Yorkshire.
Lee Harpin, 27, of Gascoigne Crescent, Harrogate, was jailed for 12 months after pleading guilty to a “two-in-one” burglary in Knaresborough. On March 10, he broke into a property on Bond End and took the keys to a silver Toyota Avensis.
Adam May, 24, who burgled St John Fisher School, in Harrogate, in December 2011, was jailed earlier this month for three years.
Police figures have revealed a 52 per cent year-on-year fall in burglaries in the Harrogate area, with 81 offences compared to 171 last year.
