Letter: Money to fight against abuse

RE ‘£500k to protect East Lancashire women from domestic abuse’ (LT, August 16), because of the pressure from peers, family and some community leaders, it is exceptionally difficult for women to get help.
I am glad that this money is to be spent in an attempt to help residents of this country who are being abused and if more money is needed to stop the suffering of anyone, then it's money well spent.
