Letter: Holiday county was so clean

We recently had a lovely holiday in Norfolk. I couldn’t believe how clean it was compared with Darwen/Blackburn. There was very little litter and the streets were swept clean.

How is that two different counties of England can be so different in their attitude to the environment? I suspect it starts at the top, ie if people see the council cares, they will take pride in their town.

Just a thought. Any comments?

M E Bysh (Mrs), Darwen.

Now that the IRA have stopped planting bombs , more bins would be a good idea. unless the council is reducing the collection of rubbish on cost grounds.
