Letter: Obesity fight waste of cash

Well it seems our council has thought up another stupid idea to waste cash (‘New regime for obese, LT, July 12).

Why waste money on another worthless cause? This government will always help the rich while taking from the poor. They can’t help it – it’s in the Tories’ DNA.

This government needs to take a leaf out of the book some American states: if you suffer from alcohol, drugs or the inability to stop stuffing your face with junk food, you don’t qualify for hand outs.

The Healthy Living Team is an independent charity and the story made clear that their funding was from the National Lottery.

Why blame the Council for something they aren't doing and aren't funding?

well said, excluded. I pointed this out to the LT when they posted the story yet the they, and this poster, couldn't be bothered to comprehend the facts and have made themselves look foolish.
