Letter: Counting cost of losing out

We will never find out how much it has cost the local councils to apply for Portas Town cash and then go on to lose out.

My guess is that it would have been a good proportion of the less than £100k held out as the carrot.

Freedom of information request, anyone?

I don’t think Ms Portas is all she is cracked up to be – I inspected her store within a store at House of Fraser the other week.

Extremely underwhelming!

Then again, I'm a bloke.
