May I send a big thank you to councillors David and Karimeh Foster for coming to my aid on Friday when we were flooded on Bowling Green Close.
After been told by the fire service that they would only come if the water was in the properties, I rang Karimeh as she had helped us before.
She had just arrived at a function in Blackburn but turned around immediately and came back called home for wellingtons and waterproofs and proceded to help me and my two sons unblock drains and sweep the water away from our front doors.
David and Karimeh went definitely above and beyond the call of duty.
