Letter: Arrogance for all to see

Supermarket car parks are an excellent way of judging the other road users.

The flagrant misuse of parking bays, ignoring the double yellow lines and (my favourite) travelling the wrong way against the directional signs, are entertaining to say the least.

It is apparent that many choose to behave in a way that exposes both their arrogance and good manners.

Those retired do-nothing police officers mentioned elsewhere in recent correspondence can patrol supermarket car parks for free as a condition of continuing to receive their hefty pensions.

What always puzzles me about supermarket car parks is how someone who has just driven on, then walks to the supermarket, not by the path but down the middle of the road or conversely holds up traffic by sticking a trolley yards away from their car while unloading. Then, when they drive off in their car they either blast their horn and/or mouth expletives at other people doing exactly what they have just done. Having seen this happen dozens of times I am convinced that if some peoples brains were dynamite there wopuld not be enough to blow their hat off.
