Letter: How about an MoT for bikes?

I don’t mind extra cash for bike routes in Burnley (LT, June 18), so long as every bike that uses them is fitted with a nice loud bell. If not, they should be banned from riding.

It’s about time bikes had MoTs – no bell, no mud guards, no lights: no certificate. Failure to comply: off to the crusher.
