  • "Asda is a private car park, can they "enforce" the blue badge scheme?
    .
Perhaps there should be some flexibility, for example, on ASDA they could enforce blue badge between 10am and 6pm but not otherwise?
    .
Same with "parent and child" - how many "children" should be out shopping at 9pm? Not the 30 car spaces worth that have preferential parking outside my local supermarket!"

Letter: Some drivers just ignore the rules

perhaps it would be a better investment if someone was employed to catch and fine those who use disabled spaces when they have no right to, thereby preventing genuine disabled users from getting a space.

Next time you nip to Asda etc, just have a look at how many cars in disabled bays are actually displaying a blue badge and notice the people getting in and out of the cars.

It will come as no surpise that many of them are young and obviously not disabled and are parking there out of sheer disregard for the rules.
