JEREMY Corbyn was voted in, with a massive vote of confidence, as Labour party leader. The Tories immediately started a campaign against his leadership and what he stood for, namely the destruction of the nation’s security.

Now I have read in the papers that not only have the crime figures been slightly misrepresented but also road accident figures, fatalities and serious, are rising.

Firstly, crime has been rising over the past few years. It’s a fact but the figures don’t show this because people don’t report small crimes. A: because there is nothing done about them, and B: because the law seems to treat petty crime as a joke. But the new revelation is that ‘cyber crime’ as I would prefer to call it, would add another 40 per cent to the figures. This revelation goes against all the figures posted by Theresa May’s department.

Secondly, figures also released about the security of motorists and fatal accidents. Another minus point in the Tory’s fight against crime and motoring. Fatal accidents are on the increase. Last year, the figures for fatal accidents rose nearly 1,200 to 22,688. The figures for Lancashire went up by 75. A fatal accident now costs £1.7million. That’s £127,500,000 for Lancashire alone.

This government has cut police figures by between 17,000 to 20,000. These are just two examples of the security risks that the Tories are committing. Let’s get honest, hard-working, apologetic politicians running this country please.
