RE: Two council run Blackburn swimming pools facing closure PEOPLE are pushed by the government to become more healthy yet these places where regular sessions are held for people are being closed when there is a still a need for them.
Not only for the families but for other parts of the community that are unable to access the regular new pools due to the position and cost of entry and parking.
If Shadsworth was saved before then it can be again as can be Daisyfield through people and not wait until it’s to late.
We are constantly being told to become more healthy then why not place a so called levy on new fast food places as does they do when new builds are created.
You may as well close the market next due to lack of its use.
Many of the swimming sessions also enable people who otherwise would not socialise to become part of wider community.
