HOW truly upsetting to hear of the death of a national treasure, namely Cilla Black.

I grew up with her music back in the sixties and she was truly amazing. Her range was fantastic. Not only that, but her personality really shone through.

She never forgot her working class roots and always had time for people.

With Cilla what you saw was what you got. No airs and graces, just genuine friendliness with an added bonus of a huge talent.

She had a long, successful career but never lost the fact that family mattered.

Also she was always there for her friends in time of need, always at the other end of the phone.

Not once have I ever read any scandal involving her, only good things. Needless to say there will never be another like her.

Now she is with her beloved husband Bobby and, yes Cilla, we salute you and you will never be forgotten. RIP.
