HOW disgusting to read that 51-year-old Kate Young claims she was banned from attending the British Grand Prix at Silverstone because her guide dog was deemed a health and safety risk.

She was told that someone could easily fall over her golden retriever. She was honest in declaring her intention to take her guide dog with her but was told dogs were definitely not allowed despite celebrities like Lewis Hamilton being allowed to take his two bulldogs.

This poor woman must have felt absolutely terrible as without her dog she is completely dependent on other people.

She said that since getting Star two years ago this is the first time she has felt restricted.

Silverstone replied that these rules are made by the Motor Sport Association. Fair enough, there have to be rules but why should pet dogs be allowed in but assistance dogs not?
