I think it’s great that people can just put themselves out there and be proud of who they are regardless of any perceived societal prejudice. Confidence is an absolute necessity for everyone in order for them to be able to get exactly what they want out of life and I praise this lady for just being herself and being proud of herself.
My only concern with celebrating the fuller figure is that a fuller figure can often mean poorer health and we need to be careful about what messages we’re sending out to youngsters.
As long as you’re confident, should you not be concerned of the potential effects of carrying extra weight? Surely that isn’t right as poor health can obviously seriously affect someone’s opportunities in life.
In saying all of that, however, in many, many cases of size 16 women, they aren’t any more unhealthy than the average Joe. Good luck to Emily!
