RE: PUBLIC transport is not the future (LT Letters, July 1).
I must strongly disagree with BuckoTheMoose’s attack on public transport and especially their offensive and snobbish stereotype of the people who use it!
Not everyone can afford the luxury of a car and, as a student who commutes to university, without the bus I would not be able to get there.
Yes, you are right that lots of ‘ignorant’ kids uses buses. However this is so they can travel to school?
While buses may not be the future, I cannot imagine a future without them and I, along with my perfectly adequate personal hygiene, will continue to use them!
