What’s the truth on gas drilling?
Re: Full report must be published (LT, June 19).
This item deserved more prominence. It cannot have escaped anyone’s attention that tomorrow) Lancashire County Council is due to make a landmark decision to allow or reject Cuadrilla’s plans to drill for gas in our area.
This decision should and must be further deferred until the government reveals in full what was heavily edited out of Defra’s report on the Impacts of Fracking.
Why the secrecy? Without that information our county councillors are blinkered and risk making a decision they and future generations may live to regret.
We still await the long-promised report on the Iraq conflict but that is long past.
This report must be published NOW.
