THE housing crisis has reached boiling point, and nowhere is this truer than in Lancashire. Year on year as a nation we have failed to build enough homes. We’ve turned back the clock on home ownership to the levels of 1980s, with more and more of us stuck in unsuitable houses and millions languishing on housing waiting lists.

And so, alongside thousands of others, I have joined the Homes for Britain campaign to end the housing crisis within a generation.

We want politicians to be bold and come up with a long-term plan for housing in this country. Senior politicians from the five main parties attended our rally right next to the Houses of Parliament and said that they backed our campaign, so now we must hold them to it. This election marks a once in a generation opportunity to get politicians to act to end the housing crisis once and for all.
