RE, Blackburn Cathedral Quarter nearly whole as £33m build races on This development is important to rejuvenate the town centre with more investments in retail leisure. Restaurants, night life, discos, nightclubs, pubs, eateries is what Blackburn wants.
The completion of the new bus station , the final link of orbital road linking Wainwright Bridge from Montague Street and the completion of a hotel in the town centre is what Blackburn needs to attract more folk back to the town centre.
The old market site and Thwaites site need to be redeveloped with more retail investments . Stores like Wilko Home Bargain Sainsbury’s, Ikea, DFS, Toys R Us, Wicks, Waitrose could invest in Blackburn .
Blackburn has a small retail industry and night life is non existent.
We need to compete with Preston and Bolton. There are 500,000 people living in East Lancashire – to attract these folk we need more retail and night life in Blackburn.
