RE: Blackburn with Darwen parents and teachers attend meeting amid concerns over school transport costs (LT, Janaury 23) I don’t drink or smoke and only have takeaways about once a month.
The standard of the education in secondary schools in Darwen is not the same as somewhere like St Wilfrid’s. The exam results speak for themselves.
I want the best for my children so why shouldn’t I send them out of town? Not sure if I’m correct but on a normal bus a weekly pass is £10. I would be quite happy to pay this price, but up to £4.50 a day is extortionate.
