Switch-off is big decision
RE, VICTORY: Notorious M65 junction to be re-lit following serious safety concerns I am not convinced that lighting the highway will prevent accidents, but I am content if it reduces them.
The question then arises of how long that the lights will be on.
We can’t afford to have them on all night long, so when do we turn them off?
Someone, somewhere, has a really tough call to make here, as the first fatality in the dark, is going to have fingers pointing.
