Indomita Gran Reserva Carmenere 2012, £4.99, Co-op
There’s a £2.50 reduction too on this South American red until December 2 which is also well worth taking advantage of. Carmenere is the grape that Chile has made its own and this Maipo Valley example has dark plums, vanilla and a silky smooth finish. It will go superbly with lamb and curries and is ridiculously cheap at less than a fiver..
