YOU reported that the number of East Lancashire motorists fined for using mobiles has halved.
Much as it pains me to agree with anything a politician says, I would tend to agree with Hyndburn MP Graham Jones, that it is most likely to be down to the reduced man hours of traffic officers.
I say this because every time I drive out I always see motorists using mobile phones. Yet very rarely do I see a traffic police car.
