I AM one of those in Baxenden who is already affected by the wind farms (‘Campaign launched to halt Hyndburn wind turbines march’, LT, December 9).
It means I have two aerials, both pointing to different receivers in order that I can have the use of my TV.
There was a period recently when reception on both receivers on many channels was so bad that I switched off. Currently there are only thousands of us affected by these windfarms, but when millions are affected and not buying TV licences, the government might take heed when these ‘green’ turbines are hurting ‘their’ pocket.
I don't know why councils allow these wind farms because as far as I know, it’s always been illegal for anyone to cause interference with radio and TV reception.
