LANCASHIRE Telegraph reporter Sally Henfield took to the skies as police unveiled their latest weapon in the fight against crime.

The Lancashire police helicopter, which has the call-sign Oscar November 99, features £190,000 of new state-of-the-art equipment including a Spotter scope camera.

Existing thermal and visual imaging cameras are also on board the aircraft, which lifted off over Lancashire this week.

Police demonstrated the capabilities of the new helicopter to Sally during the flight over East Lancashire.
