Crash blocks M65 at Nelson

A 4x4 and trailer flipped and landed on its side while travelling along the M65 this afternoon.

The trailer, containing several fencing panels, was seen to swerve violently and then tip, taking the dark grey Toyota with it, on the eastbound carriageway just before junction 13 at Nelson at 3.45pm.

The car landed on the driver’s side and fencing panels were scattered across the carriageway.

One of the lanes was blocked until 5.30pm while the car and debris were removed.

Firefighters said a male driver was the only occupant of the car and managed to get out before emergency help arrived.

i would imagine he will get done for losing his panels,,in his deFENCE he wasnt speeding

I was travelling in opposite direction and seen this horrific looking crash, i do hope that the driver isnt to injured, hes a very lucky man..
