Lorries collide on M65 near Blackburn

THREE heavy goods vehicles collided on the M65 between junctions 2 and 3.

The collision happened around 9.15am in lanes one and two, close to Blackburn, on the westbound carriageway.

The Highways Agency attended the scene and closed the lanes to allow for debris to be cleared and a subsequent fuel leak to be cleaned up.

No one was injured in the collision and the lanes were reopened after 25 minutes as the vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder.

They are now waiting to be recovered.

A taxi driver in Great Harwood picked a young Asian guy up and he explained that he was having to leave the address he was at because they had brought a load of young girls around and he didn't want to be involved because he was trying to become a solicitor. It is going on in towns up and down the country and more needs to be done.
