Three cars hauled off the road in Todmorden area
1:33pm Tuesday 7th August 2012 in News
THREE cars were immediately hauled off the roads as part of a road safety crackdown in the Todmorden area.
Neighbourhood police from the Upper Valley team issued the drivers with immediate prohibition notices because the vehicles were deemed so unroadworthy.
And another 13 were issued with less-serious prohibition orders, requiring them to fix a range of faults as soon as possible.
Eleven other motorists were also reported for criminal offences ranging from having no MOT certificate to not wearing a seatbelt or using illegal fuel. A Todmorden Police spokesman said: “Operations such as the above will be repeated.”
