A TODMORDEN resident has scooped a £1,000 win thanks to their lucky postcode.
The postcode OL14 5JW landed People’s Postcode Lottery’s Daily Prize on October 13.
People’s Postcode Lottery Ambassador, Danyl Johnson, said: “What a great prize for our player in Todmorden! I hope they have fun spending their winnings.”
A minimum of 31 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £237 million to date for good causes across Great Britain and internationally.
A local cause which has received support from players is Todmorden Riverside Improvement Group, which was awarded £1,780 last year to preserve and protect an area of land beside the River Calder which is home to a varied range of wildlife.
